Tesamorelin

Growth-hormone and fat-metabolism research · From $55

Overview

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of the full-length 44-residue human growth hormone-releasing factor, modified by acylation of the N-terminal tyrosine with a trans-3-hexenoyl group, a substitution studied for its effect on resistance to N-terminal proteolytic degradation. In preclinical and mechanistic literature it is investigated as a tool compound for probing GHRH-receptor signalling and the downstream GH/IGF-1 axis, including transcriptomic and adipose-tissue studies in animal and human research cohorts.
