Ipamorelin

Overview

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor GHS-R1a, structurally derived from the GHRP-1 series. It is characterised in preclinical pituitary cell and rodent models as a selective secretagogue, distinguished in the literature from earlier GHRPs by minimal concomitant release of ACTH, cortisol and prolactin at comparable receptor occupancy; reported preclinical endpoints include pituitary GH release and longitudinal bone growth in rats.
