Bacteriostatic Water

Sterile diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides in the lab · From $8

Overview

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, supplied in a sealed multi-dose vial. It is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides before in-vitro work, and the preservative limits microbial growth in the vial once it has been punctured. It is a laboratory supply rather than a compound: there is no sequence, purity by HPLC, or literature to report.
